    Doroteo Mendez is a maestro mezcalero From Santiago Matatlán, Oaxaca. His entire life has been dedicated to the manufacture of Artisan Mezcal, from the cultivation and care of the Agave to its distillation. Doroteo is proud to keep all the processes and traditions of mezcal alive. He inherited this tradition from three generations ago since his family has always been dedicated to the manufacture of mezcal in the area. His legacy continues this tradition since all of his children also dedicate themselves to this work. He is a member of the Mezcal Regulatory Council as well as agave care and sustainability councils.
